1. Service Philosophy
"ABRASAX objects are designed to be maintained, restored, and cared for over time."
We devote our expertise to the technical restoration of our mechanical movements. We believe the true provenance of a kinetic art piece lies in its internal mechanical poetry, calibrated to function properly over time.
2. Tailored Module-Specific Intake
For the chronoMeans collection, depending on the diagnostic symptoms, it is often unnecessary to transport the entire kinetic sculpture. To optimize shipping costs and eliminate unnecessary transit risks, we implement a Module-Specific Intake Protocol:
-
Main Body / Time Display Assembly: For issues isolated to the upper time-display mechanism, you may securely detach and send only the “Main Body / Time Display Assembly”.
-
Drive Base: If the piece experiences power issues or a complete cessation of movement, sending only the lower “Drive Base” is sufficient for laboratory diagnosis and core movement restoration.
3. The Restoration Process
01.
Digital Inquiry by Collector
Submit your timepiece's unique serial number along with a brief 1-minute video capturing its kinetic track movement. This allows our atelier to register your piece for dedicated care.
02.
Technical Review by Director
Our Atelier Director conducts a visual telemetry assessment of the recorded motion to identify any micro-structural deviations or rail misalignments.
03.
Service Authorization by Collector
We issue an official Service Authorization document detailing the personalized scope of care and value preservation metrics for your final sign-off.
04.
Care Kit Dispatch by Director
A bespoke Return Kit—crafted with customized shock-absorbing foam designed to snugly fit your specific module (Main Body or Drive Base)—is dispatched directly to your private space.
05.
Laboratory Inspection
Upon arrival, our Master Artisan performs a hands-on physical audit under microscopic conditions, evaluating the alignment of the 30-ball track matrix.
06.
Restoration & Aging
We execute mechanical synchronization, disassemble and clean the rail/gear components, replace necessary micro-bearings or core drive parts, and perform rigorous testing and aging sequences.
07.
Heritage Return
Your restored timepiece is securely packaged in our custom-molded protective foam to prevent any transit shift, and returned via FedEx.

5. Warranty & Paid Service
Within the 1-year complimentary warranty period, all diagnostics, authentic components, and labor are executed under absolute structural indemnity (zero cost to the collector). For pieces beyond the warranty cycle, a customized Value Preservation Fee (comprising laboratory inspection, authentic parts, and master artisan labor) will apply based on the initial technical review.
To preserve the artistic legacy and intellectual property of ABRASAX, no physical disassembling or technical restoration will commence without the collector’s formal signature on the Official Service Authorization Document. This protocol ensures absolute transparency and maintains the verified provenance of your collectible mechanical art.
