Installation Guide
A precise beginning for a kinetic expression of time.
Please read the complete installation sequence before proceeding.
Always use the supplied gloves when handling any component.
Proceed slowly and precisely, as if completing a ritual.
This kinetic art object is composed of precision gears, rails, and a magnetic drive system. Avoid impact or twisting during installation, and work on a stable, level table.
Inside the Case
Open the carrying case and confirm that all three components are present before proceeding: Box A, Box B, and the Glass Cover.
Handle each item with the supplied gloves and place it on a clean, stable surface.
Drive Base
Contains the Drive Base.
Main Body / Time Display Assembly
Contains the Main Body / Time Display Assembly.
Glass Cover
Keeps the installed object free from dust when not in use.
RECOMMENDED SETUP
Two adults should perform the installation in an area inaccessible to children and pets.
HANDLING PRINCIPLE
Do not lift the assembly by its rails or gears. Support only the designated frame areas with both hands.
Connect the Power
Check the supplied components, then connect the Drive Base and USB power adapter in sequence.

Check the components
Confirm the gloves, USB power adapter, USB cable, Magnetic Viewer Film, and spirit level.

Connect the Drive Base
While wearing the supplied gloves, connect the USB cable to the rear port of the Drive Base.

Connect the power adapter
Connect the USB cable to the USB power adapter, then plug the adapter into a power outlet.
IMPORTANT
Leave enough slack so the cable is not sharply bent, stretched, or pulled.
Verify Operation and Level
After connecting the power, verify operation with the Magnetic Viewer Film, then level the Drive Base.

Verify magnetic operation
With the power connected, place the Magnetic Viewer Film over the indicated area. A visible rotating pattern confirms that the Drive Base is operating correctly.
Level the Drive Base
Place the supplied spirit level at the center of the Drive Base. Adjust the installation surface until the bubble is centered between the guide lines.
CORRECT SEQENCE
Always proceed in this order: connect power → verify magnetic operation → level the Drive Base.
Install the Main Body
Inspect the gears and rails, then place the Main Body onto the Drive Base in the correct orientation.
01. Inspect the gears
Before lifting the Main Body, inspect its condition and confirm that the designated gear moves smoothly in both directions.
03. Lower vertically
Support the frame and lower the Main Body vertically. Do not apply pressure to the rails or gears.
02. Align the orientation
Position the assembly so the chronoMeans name on the Drive Base faces the front of the Main Body.
04. Confirm rotation
After installation, confirm that the magnetic wheel rotates steadily clockwise.
Important
If the Main Body is tilted or the wheel rotates irregularly, disconnect the power immediately and recheck the level and seating.
Place the Balls
and Perform Final Checks
Use the tweezers to place the balls on the rail according to the current time.
Use exactly 30 balls. Do not place them by hand or press down on the rails.

Confirm that exactly 30 balls are installed.
Level
Confirm that the product remains stable and level.
Clockwise
Confirm that the magnetic wheel rotates clockwise.
Glass cover
Install the Glass Cover only after all checks are complete.
